Norberto Reina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Macías having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Reina in the 18th minute of play forced Purchil FC's goalkeeper Silvano Macías to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Medina Azahara AFC booed when Purchil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apat Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norberto Reina scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvano Macías, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Colas Jubera came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Purchil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Colas Jubera couldn't finish the play. Colas Jubera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toribio Prats having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Reina was the one to do the kick off. Colas Jubera might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toribio Prats. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Colas Jubera ran back to his position shaking his head. 56 minutes into the match, Medina Azahara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Natanael Bernal came free, but Toribio Prats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Medina Azahara AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Cienfuegos to maneuver through the defense. Colas Jubera hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Bernat Cambero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ximo Cao kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Fidel Crespo charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A hard shot 80 in the game by Bernat Cambero from a close distance when the talented Silvano Macías managed to make a qualified save. Purchil FC's players were relieved. With a little luck, Purchil FC's Silvano Macías got control of the ball when Bernat Cambero tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Medina Azahara AFC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Purchil FC side.
