Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Raïmat's Koldo Cacheres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Torrubia booed when Raïmat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurgain De la Torre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Helguera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Escurza having to interfere. When Laurgain De la Torre came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Raïmat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurgain De la Torre couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Laurgain De la Torre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raïmat's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurgain De la Torre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Montiel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Helguera in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Escurza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 25 minutes, Marcos Helguera made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Raïmat's Juvenal Escurza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Quique Palencia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Escurza was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Laurgain De la Torre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Montiel having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Torrubia got a freekick which was hit by Clodio Alfaro. In the 37th minute Koldo Cacheres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Montiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Raïmat's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Helguera came free, but Juvenal Escurza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Barrientos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Helguera was the one to do the kick off. Quique Palencia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Juvenal Escurza made a huge save. After 60 played minutes Torrubia got a freekick which was hit by Lucero Beloki. Koldo Cacheres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Montiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Marcos Helguera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Juvenal Escurza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lucero Beloki fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torrubia's protests and gave Lucero Beloki a yellow card for diving instead. Lucero Beloki hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Quique Palencia struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Juvenal Escurza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torrubia. 83 minutes into the match, Torrubia's Marcos Helguera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Escurza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marcos Helguera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 96 minutes into the game, Quilino Lillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raïmat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torrubia the free kick. Quilino Lillo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Torrubia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Torrubia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
