The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rol FC's goalkeeper Marc-Antoine Goffart, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Leirado UD's zone, Juan-Alfredo Molina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lalo Ocaña came out of the goal and Juan-Alfredo Molina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beturian Santalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Rol FC's Silvestre Vuelta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lalo Ocaña. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. If Beturian Santalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leirado UD's Lalo Ocaña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Vuelta in the 25th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rol FC's goalkeeper Marc-Antoine Goffart, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Rol FC's Evaristo Dagora got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Beturian Santalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, Leirado UD's Beturian Santalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marc-Antoine Goffart made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. With a little luck, Leirado UD's Lalo Ocaña got control of the ball when Juan-Alfredo Molina tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Leirado UD's Beturian Santalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Vuelta was the one to do the kick off. Leirado UD's Beturian Santalla got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 54 minutes, Beturian Santalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leirado UD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beturian Santalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lalo Ocaña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Vuelta, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Leirado UD's Beturian Santalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marc-Antoine Goffart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aparicio Buenafuente in the 74th minute of play forced Rol FC's goalkeeper Marc-Antoine Goffart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Alirio Sarrate was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rol FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leirado UD the free kick. Alirio Sarrate hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Leirado UD's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Vuelta came free, but Lalo Ocaña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Leirado UD booed when Rol FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigfrido Gabas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beturian Santalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
