Xaime Cuevas scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucero Turienzo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Monteagudo's Rafael Marcos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pau Pujol in the 7th minute of play. Rafael Marcos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garoa Solano, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garoa Solano in the 24th minute of play forced Monteagudo's goalkeeper Rafael Marcos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Urbano Barba notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Canovelles AFC's Lucero Turienzo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

After 90 minutes of play, Monteagudo's Xaime Cuevas made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucero Turienzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 96 played minutes, Monteagudo's José Montero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucero Turienzo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monteagudo reached it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Monteagudo had played much better football throughout.
