Justin Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Goyo Ortega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justin Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. Nisio Murcia hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Uhin Zamora charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uhin Zamora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Uhin Zamora hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Eriberto Colillas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ebardo Cuadrado's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Uhin Zamora got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ebardo Cuadrado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Colillas having to interfere. Justin Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Goyo Ortega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferrandino's Castel Fuentes got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 minutes, Victorino Mudarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferrandino and the Vikings players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victorino Mudarra kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ebardo Cuadrado was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th match minute, Vikings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txema Molina to maneuver through the defense. Justin Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goyo Ortega having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vikings's zone, Castel Fuentes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Goyo Ortega came out of the goal and Castel Fuentes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Txema Molina might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eriberto Colillas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Txema Molina ran back to his position shaking his head. 69 minutes into the game, Castel Fuentes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferrandino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vikings the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ebardo Cuadrado in the 72nd minute of play forced Ferrandino's goalkeeper Eriberto Colillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ebardo Cuadrado came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Vikings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ebardo Cuadrado couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute, Justin Fernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferrandino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Castel Fuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Goyo Ortega managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Ferrandino's Justin Fernandez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Victorino Mudarra struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Goyo Ortega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferrandino. 84 minutes into the match, Castel Fuentes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vikings's Goyo Ortega. Goyo Ortega was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
