Abejundio santillana hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Las Almansas AD's Nacho Ballesteros got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Atlético de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Camaño to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Domeka Cambero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bartolo Villa skillfully saved the ball. After 14th play minutes Osmundo Colillas shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Sol Font and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nacho Ballesteros in the 21st minute of play forced Atlético de Madrid's goalkeeper Bartolo Villa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Las Almansas AD fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Las Almansas AD's Nacho Ballesteros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sol Font made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmundo Colillas in the 32nd minute of play. Bartolo Villa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nacho Ballesteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Las Almansas AD's Domeka Cambero got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 41 played minutes Atlético de Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Romero. Las Almansas AD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Domeka Cambero in the 44th minute. Quilo Cartagena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sol Font having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nacho Ballesteros to strike the kick off in the second half. Quilo Cartagena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sol Font having to make a save. After 58 minutes, Joselito Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Las Almansas AD and the Atlético de Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Las Almansas AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joselito Pena to maneuver through the defense. Sol Font took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmundo Colillas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Atlético de Madrid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bartolo Villa should have stopped the shot. In the 86th minute, Joselito Pena reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bartolo Villa. The goal made the score 1-3. When Atlético de Madrid's Osmundo Colillas in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 93rd minute Quilo Cartagena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sol Font saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quilo Cartagena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Las Almansas AD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
