Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gaskon Moreira made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Cayo Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zeru Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Alicante FC defense, Edorta Campello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herberto Lorenzo. The Alicante FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herberto Lorenzo should have stopped the shot. Edorta Campello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herberto Lorenzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edorta Campello's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. When Nagoi Diaz came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nagoi Diaz couldn't finish the play. Alicante FC's Herberto Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edorta Campello in the 32nd minute of play. Edorta Campello scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herberto Lorenzo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anatolio Morera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Herberto Lorenzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Uruguay's Edorta Campello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 46 minutes into the match, Alicante FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anatolio Morera came free, but Herberto Lorenzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Edorta Campello made the kick off in the second half. Edorta Campello came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Herberto Lorenzo could save by the left post. After 54 played minutes Alicante FC got a freekick which was hit by Sanson Quintero. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nagoi Diaz in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herberto Lorenzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edorta Campello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Herberto Lorenzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Rafael Zabalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edorta Campellos short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Herberto Lorenzo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celino Navarro in the 73rd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osoro Mera lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Juan Aguilo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Anatolio Morera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herberto Lorenzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeru Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nagoi Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Herberto Lorenzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cayo Vidal hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Nagoi Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edorta Campello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anatolio Morera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Lorenzo having to interfere. The Alicante FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
