If Edorta Campello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 7 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Edorta Campello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Desiderio Quintero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Madaleno Sancho in the 11th minute. Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Madaleno Sancho in the 12th minute of the match. Basilio Saura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Madaleno Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the SETA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Madaleno Sancho couldn't finish the play. Uruguay's Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Madaleno Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel made a huge save. 20 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Gabon Martinez came free, but Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the SETA defense, Nagoi Diaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Desiderio Quintero. The SETA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Desiderio Quintero should have stopped the shot. Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. 33 minutes into the match, Gabon Martinez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel, 2-2. In the 35th minute, Prudencio Santiago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Uruguay's Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel got control of the ball when Madaleno Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uruguay's Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the game, Prudencio Santiago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in SETA's zone, Edorta Campello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Quintero came out of the goal and Edorta Campello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabon Martinez was the one to do the kick off. Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Madaleno Sancho in the 52nd minute of the match. After 58 minutes, Gabon Martinez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SETA and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SETA getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gabon Martinez hit a great ball. During the 60th minute of the match Prudencio Santiago completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Prudencio Santiago a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 60th match minute, SETA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Santiago to maneuver through the defense. Uruguay's Osoro Mera shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Desiderio Quintero but with some difficulty. When Nagoi Diaz fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Nagoi Diaz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nagoi Diaz hit a great ball. Carlitos Vagrande lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Carlitos Vagrande hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Osoro Mera hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Gabon Martinez came free, but Jacky Van Cleijnenbreughel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edorta Campello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Quintero having to interfere. Edorta Campellos short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Desiderio Quintero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
