Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eusebio Maldonado started the match with the kick off. Gilen Viejo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Cabanela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo de La Coruña's zone, Eusebio Maldonado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilen Viejo came out of the goal and Eusebio Maldonado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilen Viejo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Cabanela in the 19th minute of the match. Franco Cartagena hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Eusebio Maldonado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elixio Abancens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Roque Casta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roque Casta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elixio Abancens in the 31st minute of the match. When Odilon Raya fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huerrios CD's protests and gave Odilon Raya a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Huerrios CD got a freekick which was hit by Odilon Raya. Víctor Urbieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Casta having to interfere. If Elixio Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Huerrios CD's zone, Elixio Abancens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roque Casta came out of the goal and Elixio Abancens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Huerrios CD's Roque Casta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elixio Abancens in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elixio Abancens to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Víctor Urbieta in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roque Casta saved Huerrios CD from getting behind. 3-0 became the score in the 63rd minute when Elixio Abancens elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Roque Casta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elixio Abancens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Deportivo de La Coruña's Gilen Viejo got control of the ball when Herminio Cabanela tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo de La Coruña's Elixio Abancens got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Denis Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Víctor Urbieta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo de La Coruña fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Víctor Urbieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Casta having to interfere.
