Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Garcilaso Coira kicked off to start the match. Garcilaso Coira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Real Betis's zone, Garcilaso Coira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xabier Cardeñosa came out of the goal and Garcilaso Coira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xabier Cardeñosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garcilaso Coira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xabier Cardeñosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joanes Izquierdo in the 10th minute of play. Herauso Justo charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herauso Justo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to El Basot SD getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Herauso Justo hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Garcilaso Coira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xabier Cardeñosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Quinton Casta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Betis's supporters rose to their feet, but Quinton Casta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lander Huarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Real Betis's Xabier Cardeñosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garcilaso Coira in the 27th minute of play. Xabier Cardeñosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joanes Izquierdo's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Garcilaso Coira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Xabier Cardeñosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joanes Izquierdo in the 32nd minute of play forced Real Betis's goalkeeper Xabier Cardeñosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Betis's Xabier Cardeñosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joanes Izquierdo in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Garcilaso Coira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xabier Cardeñosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xaime Huguet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Xabier Cardeñosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garcilaso Coira's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Xabier Cardeñosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joanes Izquierdo went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 59 played minutes El Basot SD got a freekick which was hit by Herauso Justo. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Betis's goalkeeper Xabier Cardeñosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xabier Cardeñosa came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by El Basot SD's Joanes Izquierdo. But to his dismay, Joanes Izquierdo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 67 minutes, Gaudencio Sainz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Basot SD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaudencio Sainz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacinto Alabern sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joanes Izquierdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Basot SD's Garcilaso Coira pulled a muscle in his leg after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Gaudencio Sainz might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xabier Cardeñosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaudencio Sainz ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Real Betis's Xabier Cardeñosa got control of the ball when Joanes Izquierdo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Jacinto Alabern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Basot SD's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
