A collision led to Polinyà getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Cloyo Griful hit a great ball. When Garibaldo Redondo fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polinyà's protests and gave Garibaldo Redondo a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Polinyà got a freekick which was hit by Garibaldo Redondo. Arcadio Castelao, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal.
