Flavio Bouzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Manolo Navas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garciaz's supporters rose to their feet, but Manolo Navas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frances Bargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muno Ruiz in the 27th minute of play forced Garciaz's goalkeeper Unai Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 29th minute when Muno Ruiz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Frances Bargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Navas in the 36th minute of play. Frances Bargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Bouzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Bouzon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frances Bargas having to interfere. Frances Bargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Navas in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Flavio Bouzon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Frances Bargas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Muno Ruiz made the kick off in the second half. Garciaz's Unai Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muno Ruiz in the 56th minute of play. Bero Gonzáles's late challenge caught a Garciaz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bero Gonzáles helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Garciaz. Inautzi Camara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Frances Bargas. 1-4. Flavio Bouzon might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frances Bargas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
