Batista Mas came out of the goal and Baudilio Belalcaraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomero Benítez made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Garoa Cao sent off a good shot on target. Fidencio Zapater hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xorxe Pabon in the 16th minute of play forced VALENCIA C.F.'s goalkeeper Baldomero Benítez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Toño Alacuart in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by VALENCIA C.F.'s Eneko Saavedra. In the 20th minute of the match Nestor Duarte shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Batista Mas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The nice shot from Garoa Cao in the 22ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Baldomero Benítez had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With a little luck, VALENCIA C.F.'s Baldomero Benítez got control of the ball when Curcio Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of VALENCIA C.F. booed when El Hornillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toño Alacuart didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in El Hornillo FC reached it. If Baudilio Belalcaraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, VALENCIA C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Orlo Navarro came free, but Baldomero Benítez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baudilio Belalcaraz took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Batista Mas. Batista Mas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 74 played minutes El Hornillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlo Navarro. In the 79th minute, Fidencio Zapater hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baudilio Belalcaraz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Batista Mas came out and tried to block the shot, but Baudilio Belalcaraz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 81st minute. Baldomero Benítez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garoa Cao, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
