Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Maule Galego made the kick off which started today's match. 14 minutes into the game, Asteri Rua cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Sergi Campoamor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maule Galego blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergi Campoamor having to make a save. In the 25th minute Maule Galego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergi Campoamor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Xamo Andres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xamo Andres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustín Abril having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Quintes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Cerreri to maneuver through the defense. If Xamo Andres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gero Gandia might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agustín Abril. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gero Gandia ran back to his position shaking his head. Agustín Abril took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xamo Andres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Abril made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gero Gandia in the 42nd minute of play.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gero Gandia to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Real Oviedo's zone, Asteri Rua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergi Campoamor came out of the goal and Asteri Rua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Asteri Rua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sergi Campoamor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maule Galego went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Maule Galego, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 71 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sergi Campoamor was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Real Oviedo's Sergi Campoamor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maule Galego in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Real Oviedo's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Cerreri came free, but Sergi Campoamor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Real Oviedo's Gero Gandia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Agustín Abril made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Maule Galego's late challenge caught a Real Oviedo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maule Galego helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Quintes getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Maule Galego hit a great ball.
