After a rather tough play, El Hoyo's Aliecer santillana got a free kick in the 4th minute. The long shot by Miliano Reina in the 5th minute really tested Toribio Santander's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Jerrald Carmona managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Hoyo's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerrald Carmona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaiet Santalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Altzibar Aizpurua during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of El Hoyo booed when Fuente Palmera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Altzibar Aizpurua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Archibaldo Marrero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kaiet Santalla. Fuente Palmera's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Fuente Palmera's goal looked a bit too open when Hondo Fresnos came free, but Kaiet Santalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hondo Fresnos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hondo Fresnos's late challenge caught a Fuente Palmera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hondo Fresnos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fuente Palmera booed when El Hoyo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hondo Fresnos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hondo Fresnos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. In the 32nd minute Archibaldo Marrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaiet Santalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jerrald Carmona, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 43 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kaiet Santalla was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferman Paz to make the kick off. Kaiet Santalla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Moncho Abellan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Ferman Paz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toribio Santander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fuente Palmera's Kaiet Santalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hondo Fresnos in the 69th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerrald Carmona got free with Kaiet Santalla in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, El Hoyo's Hondo Fresnos got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
