After 4 played minutes, Fuente Palmera's Quintan Casanova shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ambrosio Gómez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fuente Palmera reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Celta de Vino's zone, Moncho Abellan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Gómez came out of the goal and Moncho Abellan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferman Paz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moncho Abellan during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Moncho Abellan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eli Reyes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Reinaldo Sierra fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kaiet Santalla, passed just outside the right post. When Altzibar Aizpurua fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fuente Palmera's protests and gave Altzibar Aizpurua a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Fuente Palmera got a freekick which was hit by Altzibar Aizpurua. If Reinaldo Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinaldo Sierra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Kaiet Santalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaiet Santalla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Clos in the 26th minute. Kaiet Santalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Sierra in the 27th minute of the match. Fermín Landa hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Celta de Vino's goal looked a bit too open when Moncho Abellan came free, but Ambrosio Gómez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Nacho Villar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 33 minutes, Moncho Abellan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fuente Palmera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moncho Abellan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Fermín Landa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celta de Vino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fuente Palmera the free kick. The supporters of Fuente Palmera booed when Celta de Vino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermín Landa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oliviero Vila kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Jeremias Clos took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kaiet Santalla to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ferman Paz made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Fuente Palmera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferman Paz to maneuver through the defense. Kaiet Santalla came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Celta de Vino's Reinaldo Sierra. But to his dismay, Reinaldo Sierra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Fuente Palmera's zone, Jeremias Clos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaiet Santalla came out of the goal and Jeremias Clos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th match minute, Celta de Vino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zigor Cienfuegos to maneuver through the defense. Ambrosio Gómez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferman Paz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reinaldo Sierra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaiet Santalla having to interfere. Jeremias Clos struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Kaiet Santalla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celta de Vino. Celta de Vino's Fermín Landa suffered a concussion after 86 minutes and had to leave the field. After 86 minutes, Eli Reyes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fuente Palmera and the Celta de Vino players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Fuente Palmera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eli Reyes to maneuver through the defense. Fuente Palmera's Kaiet Santalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Clos in the 89th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Celta de Vino had won after a very even match.
