Gonsalvo Otero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Timar defense, Leoncio Izaguirre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barros Arribas. The Timar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barros Arribas should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Andoni Munoz made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Raúl Verdu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquire team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timar the free kick. After 56 played minutes Esquire team got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Verdu. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esquire team's goalkeeper Gonsalvo Otero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Esquire team getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Bittor Cardeñosa hit a great ball. Saul Aguado might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gonsalvo Otero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saul Aguado ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benet Prieto in the 66th minute of play forced Esquire team's goalkeeper Gonsalvo Otero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 played minutes Esquire team got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Verdu. Andoni Munoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barros Arribas having to interfere. When Saul Aguado came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Timar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Aguado couldn't finish the play. Benet Prieto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saul Camaño's late challenge caught a Esquire team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saul Camaño helped the player get up and apologised. Saul Camaño hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Benet Prieto came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Timar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benet Prieto couldn't finish the play. Elias Reina charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Reina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elias Reina hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Raúl Verdu struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Barros Arribas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esquire team. For all the effort they put into the match, the Timar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Esquire team.
