If Jonathan Ponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldovino Cano struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Milton Huguet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cholos Espartanos. Azañon's Milton Huguet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldovino Cano in the 12th minute of play. Ariel Rajoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberto Gómez in the 16th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Frodo Ziguenza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ariel Rajoi. Cholos Espartanos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frodo Ziguenza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Fliz Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azañon's protests and gave Fliz Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. Fliz Ortiz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Milton Huguet came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Cholos Espartanos's Currito Santos. But to his dismay, Currito Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbes Maldonado in the 40th minute of play forced Cholos Espartanos's goalkeeper Ariel Rajoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbes Maldonado kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Diego Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cholos Espartanos's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milton Huguet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Milton Huguet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldovino Cano in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frodo Ziguenza in the 46th minute of play forced Cholos Espartanos's goalkeeper Ariel Rajoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Milton Huguet came out of the goal and Baldovino Cano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldovino Cano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Huguet having to interfere. During the 86th minute of the match Fliz Ortiz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fliz Ortiz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jonathan Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
