Cholos Espartanos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mergildo Briso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Castro in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Burni Pabon saved Aztegieta from getting behind. Currito Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Burni Pabon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Currito Santos during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Currito Santos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Mergildo Briso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Rajoi having to interfere. Burni Pabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldovino Cano in the 57th minute of play. Baldovino Cano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Burni Pabon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Aztegieta's Mergildo Briso made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Rajoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rosendo Taules hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Aztegieta's Burni Pabon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Ponte in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Aztegieta's goalkeeper Burni Pabon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Currito Santos. In the 73rd minute, Aitor Folch made a precise shot to the right of Ariel Rajoi. Cholos Espartanos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 78 minutes into the match, Cholos Espartanos's goal looked a bit too open when Aitor Folch came free, but Ariel Rajoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The long shot by Cristobal Camara in the 81st minute really tested Burni Pabon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rosendo Taules was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cholos Espartanos getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Rosendo Taules hit a great ball. Cholos Espartanos's Ariel Rajoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zarando Izaguirre in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabián Amorebieta in the 86th minute of play forced Cholos Espartanos's goalkeeper Ariel Rajoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
