In the 37th minute Sofronio Obis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macias Parra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Laredo C.F. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Carolo Maroto hit a great ball. Alexander Taules fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bladi Sánchez having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Taules to make the kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Primo Galego sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Macias Parra skillfully saved the ball. The referee ignored Laredo C.F.'s protests and gave Aitor Jofre a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herodes Bajo during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Laredo C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herodes Bajo to maneuver through the defense. Torronteras's Bladi Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herodes Bajo in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Torronteras's Sofronio Obis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Macias Parra. Macias Parra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sofronio Obis in the 96th minute of play forced Laredo C.F.'s goalkeeper Macias Parra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Torronteras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Torronteras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
