Zernin Cortes's late challenge caught a La Riera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zernin Cortes helped the player get up and apologised. Zernin Cortes hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. La Riera's Xuaco Salazar got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvano Marquez hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the game, Giro Babia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Barros Contreras was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tarragona Española's Zernin Cortes got his second yellow card of the match in the 22nd minute. The referee ordered Zernin Cortes off the ground. Zernin Cortes kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, La Riera's Silvano Marquez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Barros Contreras narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Nabucodonosor Gutierrez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarragona Española's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Riera the free kick. A collision led to Tarragona Española getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Nabucodonosor Gutierrez hit a great ball. Rainerio Paz came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Tarragona Española's Nabucodonosor Gutierrez. But to his dismay, Nabucodonosor Gutierrez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Xuaco Salazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Barros Contreras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Giro Babia came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the La Riera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giro Babia couldn't finish the play. Alvaro Labarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Barros Contreras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giro Babia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barros Contreras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giro Babia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of La Riera booed when Tarragona Española was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Quesada didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

La Riera's Giro Babia got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giro Babia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Barros Contreras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute Giro Babia suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Leandro Zapico charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Zapico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of La Riera booed when Tarragona Española was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Zapico didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Tarragona Española's Barros Contreras got control of the ball when Alvaro Labarra tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 67 minutes Tarragona Española's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedro Barba who took care of the corner kick. Pedro Barba charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Barba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Pedro Barba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of La Riera booed when Tarragona Española was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nabucodonosor Gutierrez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barros Contreras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xuaco Salazar in the 75th minute of the match. Barros Contreras came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by La Riera's Alvaro Labarra. But to his dismay, Alvaro Labarra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Xuaco Salazar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Barros Contreras came out and tried to block the shot, but Xuaco Salazar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 79th minute. Tarragona Española's Barros Contreras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Labarra in the 82nd minute of play. Alvaro Labarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barros Contreras read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Xuaco Salazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Barros Contreras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Riera played a much better game than Tarragona Española and deserved their victory. The Tarragona Española players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
