The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 12th minute of the match, Hori Coya got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aritz Montiel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Venceslás Sanz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victorio Ocaña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Licerio Izquierdo in the 17th minute of the match. A.C. Milano's Alifonso Serena got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th match minute, Sant Carles De La Ràpita AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osoro Candamil to maneuver through the defense. When Hori Coya came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the A.C. Milano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hori Coya couldn't finish the play. Alifonso Serena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Hori Coya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Sant Carles De La Ràpita AFC's goalkeeper Aritz Montiel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hori Coya. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Hori Coya took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Aritz Montiel to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Sant Carles De La Ràpita AFC's Aritz Montiel got control of the ball when Hori Coya tried to sneak it across the goal line. A.C. Milano's Victorio Ocaña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Aranzubia in the 41st minute of play. A.C. Milano's Hori Coya got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hori Coya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Aritz Montiel made a huge save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hori Coya made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Sant Carles De La Ràpita AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osoro Candamil to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Echavarri struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Aritz Montiel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.C. Milano. Hori Coya might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aritz Montiel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hori Coya ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th minute, Hori Coya left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.C. Milano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Benjamin Santos fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.C. Milano's protests and gave Benjamin Santos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, A.C. Milano's Benjamin Santos got a free kick in the 59th minute. A collision led to A.C. Milano getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Raymon Morientes hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Sant Carles De La Ràpita AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Venceslás Sanz came free, but Aritz Montiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
