The audience thought a goal was coming when Xesus Barroso got free with Etxeberri Sánchez in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the game, Sant Lluis UD's Juan Novo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eleodoro Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agapito Rey to make the kick off. Etxeberri Sánchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xesus Barroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eleodoro Barral made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Luciano Morera sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xesus Barroso in the 58th minute of play forced Sant Lluis UD's goalkeeper Etxeberri Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sant Lluis UD's goalkeeper Etxeberri Sánchez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Behe Ballesteros fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sant Lluis UD's protests and gave Behe Ballesteros a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Alfarnatejo booed when Sant Lluis UD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behe Ballesteros didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Xuan Rossello fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alfarnatejo's protests and gave Xuan Rossello a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alfarnatejo getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Xuan Rossello hit a great ball. Luciano Morera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Eleodoro Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Novo in the 69th minute of play forced Alfarnatejo's goalkeeper Eleodoro Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agapito Rey in the 71st minute of play forced Sant Lluis UD's goalkeeper Etxeberri Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Alfarnatejo's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Novo came free, but Eleodoro Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfarnatejo's Eleodoro Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Novo in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Dino Sanz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sant Lluis UD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alfarnatejo the free kick. Dino Sanz kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Agapito Rey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Etxeberri Sánchez having to interfere. Alfarnatejo's Eleodoro Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Novo in the 88th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Sant Lluis UD's corner Locaio Nobo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eleodoro Barral quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Juan Novo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eleodoro Barral. That made the score 2-2 in the 96 minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
