The referee ignored Casinos CF's protests and gave Bastian Sacristán a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Valencia Lions CF booed when Casinos CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bastian Sacristán didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uhin Cuervas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Ismael Rico skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bastian Sacristán got his second yellow card in the match during the 16th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 17 played minutes Casinos CF got a freekick which was hit by Bastian Sacristán. Carlos Aballe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Rico having to interfere. Ismael Rico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Aballe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Iraitz Gómez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Rico made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Uhin Cuervas sent off a good shot on target. Iraitz Gómez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Aballe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ismael Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Iraitz Gómez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Carlos Aballe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismael Rico was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Casinos CF's zone, Carlos Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Rico came out of the goal and Carlos Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute Uhin Cuervas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Rico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Santi Otero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Casinos CF's Iago Verdeja got a free kick in the 87th minute. Uhin Cuervas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Rico having to interfere. After some careless play in the Casinos CF defense, Carlos Aballe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Rico. The Casinos CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Rico should have stopped the shot. Valencia Lions CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
