In the 40th minute Aquilino Contratas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilesindo Zubiaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquilino Contratas was the one to do the kick off. José Ballesteros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henric Vacas, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The supporters of Torreciega booed when Aguas Nuevas CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rami Dellasierra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquilino Contratas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
