In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind cartagena city's goalkeeper Odilon Gene, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 7 minutes, Nicolás Cainzos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the cartagena city and the Royal Academi Redux players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Royal Academi Redux booed when cartagena city was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolás Cainzos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Odilon Gene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliu Jauregui in the 9th minute of the match. Odilon Gene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliu Jauregui in the 14th minute of play. Zaquiel Jofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, cartagena city's Andrés-Fernando Escurza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Román Uria. Román Uria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. cartagena city's Peio Cazorla shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Román Uria but with some difficulty. Odilon Gene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manel Beloki in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, cartagena city's Flavio Camara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Royal Academi Redux's Román Uria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Royal Academi Redux from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Flavio Camara sped through Royal Academi Redux's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Román Uria. Román Uria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Macedonio Bajo in the 39th minute. A collision led to Royal Academi Redux getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Manel Beloki hit a great ball. Flavio Camara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute of the match Peio Cazorla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Román Uria skillfully saved the ball. Manel Beloki charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manel Beloki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Feliu Jauregui to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucero Iglesias got free with Odilon Gene in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, cartagena city's Flavio Camara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Román Uria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Feliu Jauregui fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Royal Academi Redux's protests and gave Feliu Jauregui a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st match minute, Royal Academi Redux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliu Jauregui to maneuver through the defense. Román Uria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Camara in the 63rd minute of play. After 65 minutes of play, cartagena city's Zaquiel Jofre made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Román Uria was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Royal Academi Redux's zone, Zaquiel Jofre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Román Uria came out of the goal and Zaquiel Jofre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Camara struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Román Uria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for cartagena city. Andrés-Fernando Escurza scored 5-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Román Uria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Zaquiel Jofre came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the cartagena city fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zaquiel Jofre couldn't finish the play. Andrés-Fernando Escurza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Román Uria having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Royal Academi Redux's goal looked a bit too open when Andrés-Fernando Escurza came free, but Román Uria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrés-Fernando Escurza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Camara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Odilon Gene successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. cartagena city walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
