Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ramond Irureta got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute, Colas Bravo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remigio Naranjo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Ramond Irureta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Renato Jorquera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Xeresa SAD getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Joaquin Alonso hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arcadio Cambero got free with Angelines Figueres in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ramond Irureta scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renato Jorquera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Haroldo Gimenez took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Angelines Figueres to make any attempt to save it. If Arcadio Cambero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 22 minutes, Ramond Irureta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xeresa SAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramond Irureta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xeresa SAD's Angelines Figueres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Xeresa SAD from getting a goal against them. If Arcadio Cambero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigio Naranjo during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Gimenez to make the kick off. The supporters of Rentería AFC booed when Xeresa SAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Alonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rentería AFC's Renato Jorquera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramond Irureta in the 62nd minute of play. Marcelino Clemente who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Renato Jorquera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcelino Clementes short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Renato Jorquera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arcadio Cambero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelines Figueres having to interfere. Haroldo Gimenez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Xeresa SAD's zone, Haroldo Gimenez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelines Figueres came out of the goal and Haroldo Gimenez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Haroldo Gimenez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Gimenez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelines Figueres having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arcadio Cambero in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelines Figueres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arcadio Cambero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Haroldo Gimenez notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Xeresa SAD's Angelines Figueres. Angelines Figueres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Haroldo Gimenez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Remigio Naranjo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rentería AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
