Isidoro De Pablo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Egídio de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Puerto Rico F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Lucila Torres came free, but Egídio de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Hassan Feliu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baseia's Zoilo Santalla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Roi Hidalgo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baseia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Puerto Rico F.C the free kick. In the 15th minute, Roi Hidalgo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Baseia's Aimar Urruti got a free kick in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hassan Feliu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zoilo Santalla saved Baseia from getting behind. Zoilo Santalla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hassan Feliu's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The audience was convinced that Hassan Feliu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zoilo Santalla was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 32nd match minute, Baseia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roi Hidalgo to maneuver through the defense. Roi Hidalgo was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 34th minute, Roi Hidalgo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hassan Feliu in the 37th minute of play forced Baseia's goalkeeper Zoilo Santalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zoilo Santalla came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Puerto Rico F.C's Raúl Crespo. But to his dismay, Raúl Crespo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hassan Feliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoilo Santalla having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Raúl Crespo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zoilo Santalla was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidoro De Pablo made a kick off. Egídio de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro De Pablo in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Baseia's zone, Raúl Crespo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoilo Santalla came out of the goal and Raúl Crespo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro De Pablo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio de Lara having to interfere. Zoilo Santalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Crespo in the 65th minute of play. Baseia's Zoilo Santalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Crespo in the 67th minute of play. Zoilo Santalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Crespo in the 71st minute of the match. Zoilo Santalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Crespo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Raúl Crespo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Crespo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoilo Santalla having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Baseia's goalkeeper Zoilo Santalla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hassan Feliu. Raúl Crespo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zoilo Santalla having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Baseia's zone, Raúl Crespo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoilo Santalla came out of the goal and Raúl Crespo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Baseia getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Alfronso Bencoiechea hit a great ball. Zoilo Santalla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hassan Feliu in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Isidoro De Pablo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egídio de Lara. Puerto Rico F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidoro De Pablo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
