The referee ignored Reus FC's protests and gave Benjamin Fuster a yellow card for diving instead. Batista Helguera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Oihan Mata was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iratxo Gene showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 59 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Reus FC's Americo Mondejar got a free kick in the 66th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Americo Mondejar during the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batista Helguera in the 92nd minute of play forced Reus FC's goalkeeper Elian Villar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mia were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Reus FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cipriano Navarro took the corner. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Reus FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
