After 4 played minutes, Arguisal's Gaizko Garay shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Noé Marquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arguisal reached it. Alain Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Colon Jimenez got free with Noé Marquez in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alain Varela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cilio Soto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Alain Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cilio Soto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastián Alacuart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alain Varela struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Cilio Soto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villacibran. Raymundo Buenafuente hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Colon Jimenez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th match minute, Arguisal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbasa Rallo to maneuver through the defense. Cilio Soto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aimar Rapado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastián Alacuart made a kick off. If Sebastián Alacuart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Arguisal's Cilio Soto got control of the ball when Alain Varela tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enrique Roman kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Alain Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villacibran's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alain Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Noé Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Colon Jimenez in the 64th minute of the match. Aimar Rapado struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cilio Soto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villacibran. Cilio Soto was a little too slow when Aimar Rapado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Villacibran's zone, Colon Jimenez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noé Marquez came out of the goal and Colon Jimenez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sebastián Alacuart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colon Jimenez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Noé Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colon Jimenez in the 90th minute of play forced Villacibran's goalkeeper Noé Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Arguisal's Cilio Soto got control of the ball when Alain Varela tried to sneak it across the goal line.
