Herville F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Chuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Sánchez in the 14th minute of play forced Arguisal's goalkeeper Cilio Soto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amato Marrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apal Etxeberria in the 16th minute of play. Sebastián Alacuart received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amato Marrero came out and tried to block the shot, but Sebastián Alacuart slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Colon Jimenez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amato Marrero. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. Amato Marrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Roman in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Jacobo Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cilio Soto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jacobo Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Jacobo Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herville F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobo Chuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cilio Soto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaizko Garay was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. Cilio Soto went to the wrong direction when Hernando Castro was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Zeledon Sánchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cilio Soto having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The throw-in from Lazcano Pardo in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Arguisal's Enrique Roman. The supporters of Herville F.C booed when Arguisal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastián Alacuart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Chuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cilio Soto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Sánchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Chuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cilio Soto having to interfere. Cilio Soto was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Zeledon Sánchez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zeledon Sánchez really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. If Jacobo Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacobo Chuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amato Marrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colon Jimenez in the 82nd minute of play. If Apal Etxeberria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Etxepare Aizpurua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
