Mahoma Negro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Bardo Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mahoma Negro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. DANIREP's Loreto Barroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Marcos in the 14th minute of play. Gaudencio Soto shot from long distance in the 17th minute, but Bardo Lopez was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. When Currito Morientes fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DANIREP's protests and gave Currito Morientes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to DANIREP getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Currito Morientes hit a great ball. Esquipula Mora charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esquipula Mora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Esquipula Mora hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Hori Cabanela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vergaray Solo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loreto Barroso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Gata's goal looked a bit too open when Raymon Garzon came free, but Bardo Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Natalio Marcos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loreto Barroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natalio Marcos was the one to do the kick off. Esquipula Mora was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Joseba Ledo charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseba Ledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Raymon Garzon managed to get in a good position for a shot. DANIREP's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymon Garzon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bardo Lopez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bardo Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mahoma Negro, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. DANIREP's Currito Morientes got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Currito Morientes off the ground. In the 81st minute, Hugo Cifuentes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to DANIREP getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Gabon Nunez hit a great ball. Gata's Sol Llorca couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for DANIREP. Vergaray Solo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loreto Barroso having to interfere. If Adán Ballesteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vergaray Solo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 91st playminute. Bardo Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mahoma Negro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 95th minute Manel Novo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bardo Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Gata supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gata would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
