Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fidel Fabelo got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Fortun Abascal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ribadeo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lena UD the free kick. Fidel Fabelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Roberto Doblas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ribadeo's zone, Fidel Fabelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Doblas came out of the goal and Fidel Fabelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Raymond Llorente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabon Titos in the 11th minute of play forced Lena UD's goalkeeper Gaston Zubizarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cordera Fuster kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Louis Torres took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gaston Zubizarreta. Lena UD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute, Edelmiro Noya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th match minute, Lena UD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Noya to maneuver through the defense. Fidel Fabelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lena UD's Gaston Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymond Llorente in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute Esteban Martínez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Zubizarreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Fabelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Roberto Doblas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Fidel Fabelo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roberto Doblas. That made the score 1-0 in the 41 minute of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Fidel Fabelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lena UD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Fabelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esteban Martínez was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Raymond Llorente got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gaston Zubizarreta was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cordera Fuster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Roberto Doblas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ribadeo's Roberto Doblas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Fabelo in the 62nd minute of play. Roberto Doblas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fidel Fabelo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Edelmiro Noya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Doblas. Ribadeo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edelmiro Noya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Ribadeo's zone, Fidel Fabelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Doblas came out of the goal and Fidel Fabelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Fortun Abascal could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Gaston Zubizarreta however easily saved by the left post. Fidel Fabelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roberto Doblas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fidel Fabelo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute, Louis Torres fired a really elegant long shot, but Gaston Zubizarreta threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 92nd minute, Ribadeo's Antxo Olmedo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Antxo Olmedo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ribadeo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Antxo Olmedo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Lena UD booed when Ribadeo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antxo Olmedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Raymond Llorente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
