Meraxes Gigas's attentive Bras Solo managed to snatch the ball when Andrin Bastida made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. After 23 minutes, Andrin Bastida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C.Barcelona and the Meraxes Gigas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to F.C.Barcelona getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Andrin Bastida hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Luis Barba could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Medardo Galnares however easily saved by the left post. A hard shot by Herminio Galdamez from long distance, 29 minutes into the match, got Medardo Galnares's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Luis Barba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Miliano Nafría took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Medardo Galnares to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Meraxes Gigas getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Zaquiel Campos hit a great ball. Cristian Castaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ignacy Podolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Luis Barba made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Zaquiel Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Medardo Galnares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Barba in the 53rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Luis Barba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Medardo Galnares was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After 58 played minutes Meraxes Gigas got a freekick which was hit by Bras Solo. Medardo Galnares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Barba in the 62nd minute of the match.
