Romano Campomanes might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Erosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romano Campomanes ran back to his position shaking his head. Almuniente CD's Ponc Contreras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Coya in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Valdo Soler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ponc Contreras. Almuniente CD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdo Soler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Baraquiel Ramis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mar Azul's supporters rose to their feet, but Baraquiel Ramis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ponc Contreras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ponc Contreras stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdo Soler's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Gai Zubiaga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hugo Erosa. Mar Azul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Baraquiel Ramis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 43 minutes of play, Mar Azul's Valdo Soler made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ponc Contreras was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berto Grau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mar Azul's Baraquiel Ramis got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romano Campomanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Erosa having to interfere. Hugo Erosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berto Grau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romano Campomanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Hugo Erosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romano Campomanes might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Erosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romano Campomanes ran back to his position shaking his head. After 64 played minutes Mar Azul got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Coya. Romano Campomanes's late challenge caught a Mar Azul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romano Campomanes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Almuniente CD's Romano Campomanes got a free kick in the 69th minute. Valdo Soler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baraquiel Ramis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Ponc Contreras made a huge save. 2-3 became the score in the 72nd minute when Berto Grau elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Rexino Leon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gumersindo Bellido's late challenge caught a Almuniente CD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gumersindo Bellido helped the player get up and apologised. Gumersindo Bellido kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Hugo Erosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romano Campomanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Berto Grau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Erosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Mar Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Coya to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mar Azul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
