In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manurga AD's goalkeeper Luisito Cienfuegos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luisito Cienfuegos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porfirio Bravo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anko Ruiz scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luisito Cienfuegos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anko Ruiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisito Cienfuegos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anko Ruiz in the 25th minute of play. Manurga AD's Luisito Cienfuegos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Porfirio Bravo in the 28th minute of play. Anko Ruiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 37 minutes, Garikoitz Marines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manurga AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garikoitz Marines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Garikoitz Marines might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolao Cienfuegos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garikoitz Marines ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Couto Seville AD getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Gerardo Morales hit a great ball. Manurga AD's Cresitobalo Gómez got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
