Nicolao Morientes came out of the goal and Ireno Aznar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Coto De La Isleta defense, Ireno Aznar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicolao Morientes. The Coto De La Isleta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolao Morientes should have stopped the shot. Coto De La Isleta's Nicolao Morientes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juanito Roig in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Coto De La Isleta's zone, Ireno Aznar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolao Morientes came out of the goal and Ireno Aznar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. INVICTUS FCB's Juanito Roig got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sotero Quintero during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Coto De La Isleta getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Sotero Quintero hit a great ball. Nicolao Morientes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ireno Aznar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Ireno Aznar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind INVICTUS FCB's goalkeeper Pelayo Villa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, INVICTUS FCB's goal looked a bit too open when Anter Carmona came free, but Pelayo Villa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
