If Lino De Paula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino De Paula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walme Cifuentes having to interfere. Egun Contreras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Urdin Abancens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Gonzalvez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Walme Cifuentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino De Paula in the 33rd minute of play forced Sumoas SAD's goalkeeper Walme Cifuentes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Egun Contreras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Urdin Feal's late challenge caught a Sumoas SAD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urdin Feal helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Riversport C.F. getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Urdin Feal hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Sumoas SAD's goal looked a bit too open when Urdin Feal came free, but Walme Cifuentes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Egun Contreras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sumoas SAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Egun Contreras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urdin Abancens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Augusto Treviño kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Egun Contreras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Urdin Abancens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, José Gonzalvez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riversport C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but José Gonzalvez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walme Cifuentes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Gonzalvez in the 75th minute of the match. Felipillo Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Walme Cifuentes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino De Paula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sumoas SAD getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Carlos Freire hit a great ball. After 82 minutes, Fernando Clemente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Riversport C.F. and the Sumoas SAD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Riversport C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Clemente to maneuver through the defense. Urdin Feal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute, Lino De Paula got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sumoas SAD's Walme Cifuentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Gonzalvez in the 93rd minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
