Córdoba F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Loreto the free kick. Loreto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xuaco Alonso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Sigfrido Flores fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Caminero having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Loreto's goalkeeper Etxepare Riells had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Björn Häll. Saul Caminero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dubardo Camacho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Loreto booed when Córdoba F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorginho Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Björn Häll made a kick off. Björn Häll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jorginho Machado shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Björn Häll took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Etxepare Riells. Etxepare Riells dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
