Hussein Aceves stood somewhat misplaced when Peli Palomar came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 18 minute. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Ovando Belalcaraz sped through Mieres's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hussein Aceves. Hussein Aceves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peli Palomar, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Ovando Belalcaraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Hussein Aceves made a huge save. If Pietro Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC ORTIGUEIRA's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovando Belalcaraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hussein Aceves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. One of Mieres:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC ORTIGUEIRA:s goal. In the 43rd minute, Peli Palomar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peli Palomar to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Mieres's goal looked a bit too open when Peli Palomar came free, but Hussein Aceves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ovando Belalcaraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pietro Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC ORTIGUEIRA's protests and gave Pietro Moreno a yellow card for diving instead.
