Gualterio Fresnos started the match with the kick off. Batista Gasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barros Merino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quirze Palacios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabi Landa having to interfere. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caniles CF's goalkeeper Batista Gasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Quirze Palacios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Gabi Landa made a huge save. If Barros Merino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Barros Merino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Batista Gasso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Gabi Landa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gualterio Fresnos in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Batista Gasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Román Olmedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batista Gasso having to interfere. Batista Gasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Fresnos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Caniles CF's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Fresnos came free, but Batista Gasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barros Merino in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Batista Gasso saved Caniles CF from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute Quirze Palacios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabi Landa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uzuri Ecija received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gabi Landa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Caniles CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quirze Palacios to maneuver through the defense. Fredo Saavedra charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredo Saavedra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Fredo Saavedra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paco Palomares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Batista Gasso. Caniles CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Barros Merino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derwin Climent might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabi Landa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derwin Climent ran back to his position shaking his head. After 71 played minutes Gualterio Fresnos rounded Caniles CF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Gualterio Fresnos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Barros Merino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castellfort AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Barros Merino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Batista Gasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83rd play minutes Gualterio Fresnos shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Batista Gasso and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 90th match minute, Castellfort AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Castel Estruch to maneuver through the defense. Román Olmedo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Batista Gasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castellfort AFC. If Gualterio Fresnos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Caniles CF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Castellfort AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
