Nicasio Andres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peyo Etxeberria in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Champions F.C.'s zone, Antonio Alacuart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nofre Baltanas came out of the goal and Antonio Alacuart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel Rubios short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Nofre Baltanas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 7 minutes into the match, Champions F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Alacuart came free, but Nofre Baltanas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nofre Baltanas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michel Rubio in the 11th minute. Antonio Alacuart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godofredo Abajas charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godofredo Abajas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nicasio Andres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Montrel Valerón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Champions F.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Isidro Escobar hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Antonio Alacuart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liñarejos's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Alacuart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nofre Baltanas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Champions F.C.'s Nofre Baltanas got control of the ball when Michel Rubio tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Antonio Alacuart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Liñarejos's Nofre Baltanas threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antonio Alacuart, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Liñarejos getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Godofredo Abajas hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Montrel Valerón made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Liñarejos's Michel Rubio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nofre Baltanas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 56th minute of the match Petronio Jofre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicasio Andres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Michel Rubio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 63rd minute of the match Godofredo Abajas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Godofredo Abajas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 64th minute, Godofredo Abajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isidro Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Antonio Alacuart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liñarejos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Champions F.C. the free kick. After having played for 72 minutes, Lobo Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Champions F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Lobo Gil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Michel Rubio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nofre Baltanas. Champions F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michel Rubio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Champions F.C. booed when Liñarejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Alacuart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liñarejos's Michel Rubio got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Michel Rubio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Champions F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Michel Rubio came free, but Nofre Baltanas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montrel Valerón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Andres having to interfere. In the 92nd minute of the match, Lobo Gil got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nicasio Andres was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Antolin Losada struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Nofre Baltanas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liñarejos. Montrel Valerón blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicasio Andres having to make a save. Liñarejos's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
