In the 19th match minute, Getafe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Palacios to maneuver through the defense. Vilaut's Rufino Rapado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Vilaut from getting a goal against them. After 35 minutes, Alonso Marques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilaut and the Getafe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alonso Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. If Galindo Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Fulgencio Morales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julián Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fulgencio Morales was the one to do the kick off. When Emilio Lara fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vilaut's protests and gave Emilio Lara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd match minute, Vilaut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Lara to maneuver through the defense. Julián Flores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vilaut. Vilaut's Rufino Rapado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Varela in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vilaut's Quentin Jurado got a free kick in the 86th minute. Rufino Rapado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santana Bastida, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Galindo Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Julián Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Getafe FC defense, Fulgencio Morales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julián Flores. The Getafe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julián Flores should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vilaut eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
