The supporters of Cuarte De Huerva booed when Mereia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Cayuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis-Miguel Ballesteros during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cuarte De Huerva getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Luis-Miguel Ballesteros hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldovino Vidal got free with Leal Maestro in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Leal Maestro managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Mereia's Baldovino Vidal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Baldovino Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leal Maestro having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Jeremias Ibanez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cuarte De Huerva's Jeremias Ibanez got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cuarte De Huerva's zone, Baldovino Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leal Maestro came out of the goal and Baldovino Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Facundo Coya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Vazquez having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Facundo Coya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Vazquez was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Mereia's zone, Facundo Coya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Vazquez came out of the goal and Facundo Coya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jeremias Ibanez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Facundo Coya stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Bitxintxo Titos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mereia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuarte De Huerva the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mereia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! If Facundo Coya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Cuarte De Huerva's Alex Vazquez threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Facundo Coya, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Mereia's Julio Prats got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Mereia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cuarte De Huerva:s goal. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Cuarte De Huerva. Marin Torrent stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alex Vazquez. 0-3. After 85 minutes of play, Cuarte De Huerva's Jeremias Ibanez made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Vazquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alex Vazquez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Facundo Coya showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 89 minute of play. Jeremias Ibanez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Alex Vazquez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Mereia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cuarte De Huerva were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
