An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuste Rapado in the 17th minute of play forced Mases Y Tamboril's goalkeeper Ramón Zubizarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucian Jauregui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ramón Zubizarreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Alatz Campomanes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Germán Zubiaga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santi Marrero having to make a save. When Eutropio Canosa fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U.D Las Palmas's protests and gave Eutropio Canosa a yellow card for diving instead. 27 minutes into the game, one of U.D Las Palmas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Eutropio Canosa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. In the 32nd match minute, U.D Las Palmas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eutropio Canosa to maneuver through the defense. Germán Zubiaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santi Marrero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Lucian Jauregui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramón Zubizarreta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucian Jauregui in the 45th minute. The U.D Las Palmas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mases Y Tamboril were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Germán Zubiaga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Germán Zubiaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Santi Marrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alatz Campomanes hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Alatz Campomanes got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Mases Y Tamboril. Alatz Campomanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Santi Marrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alatz Campomanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santi Marrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germán Zubiaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Lucian Jauregui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Zubizarreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santi Marrero didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. 77 minutes into the match, Mases Y Tamboril's Alatz Campomanes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santi Marrero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucian Jauregui in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramón Zubizarreta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alatz Campomanes came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Santi Marrero could save by the left post. In the 86th play minute Alatz Campomanes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Santi Marrero. 0-3. If Gerardo Baeza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hernán Encina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mases Y Tamboril had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
