Jongar Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergi Macho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute Zacarías Montero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Polo Cortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Baldovino Borrás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Puyol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Zacarías Montero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jongar Fc's Luis Puyol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldovino Borrás in the 17th minute of play. The UD Almería fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when UD Almería's Baldovino Borrás looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 22ndth minute of the game Baldovino Borrás who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jongar Fc's Luis Puyol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 0-2 became the score in the 27th minute when Baldovino Borrás elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 35 played minutes, UD Almería's Ezequiel Batuecas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luis Puyol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UD Almería reached it. Zacarías Montero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Polo Cortes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zacarías Montero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zacarías Montero missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 46 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Polo Cortes right hand side. Jongar Fc's Sergi Macho got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Presebal Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Polo Cortes having to interfere. Sergi Macho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Almería's goalkeeper Polo Cortes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Telmo Campoamor kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Zelipe Alfaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Polo Cortes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergi Macho in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to UD Almería getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Marco Briso hit a great ball. Polo Cortes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zelipe Alfaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 94 minutes, Zacarías Montero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marco Otero's late challenge caught a UD Almería's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Otero helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jongar Fc getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Marco Otero hit a great ball. Although Jongar Fc had been in control for most of the match, UD Almería still came away with the win.
