Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gatomorto's Agustín Barroso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Cortez Coira fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aberasturi's protests and gave Cortez Coira a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Aberasturi! Xose Jurado went to the wrong direction when Gallo Amorebieta was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 5th minute, Tirso Feliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustín Barroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 11th minute, Gallo Amorebieta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Xose Jurado. The goal made the score 1-0. Gatomorto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carles Orozco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Diagur Belalcaraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carles Orozco, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Carles Orozco made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Gatomorto's goalkeeper Diagur Belalcaraz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Truylos Morera. Gatomorto's Diagur Belalcaraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Garzon in the 54th minute of play. Sinforiano Balcells fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xose Jurado having to interfere. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Aberasturi. Tirso Feliu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Diagur Belalcaraz. 3-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Truylos Morera got free with Diagur Belalcaraz in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diagur Belalcaraz made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Truylos Morera sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Gatomorto's Diagur Belalcaraz got control of the ball when Tirso Feliu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aberasturi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
