Asidras FC's Jose-Luis De Toro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Behe Landa in the 19th minute of play. Jose-Luis De Toro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinto Avila, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to Asidras FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Hegoi Labarra hit a great ball. Etxatxu Sauca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28thth minute of the game Peru Galnares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Van Basten Team's Herminio Vuelta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Albano Navarro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Herminio Vuelta to make any attempt to save it. Hegoi Labarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herminio Vuelta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Hegoi Labarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Van Basten Team booed when Asidras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Bernal didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lastur Aranzubia was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peru Galnares in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Vuelta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albano Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Vuelta having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Van Basten Team's Behe Landa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jose-Luis De Toro. Jose-Luis De Toro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. If Santiago Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
