In a very dangerous position, a player in Rayo Noguerosa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! 23 minutes into the game, Rexino Quintana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Albano Rivas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gentza Colsa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veremundo Morado having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Rayo Noguerosa got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Encina. 30 minutes into the match, Rayo Noguerosa's goalkeeper Albano Rivas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rexino Quintana. Sandro Cuevas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veremundo Morado having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Albano Rivas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Albano Rivas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berto Diaz in the 37th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amaro Gene during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rexino Quintana got free with Albano Rivas in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gentza Colsa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veremundo Morado having to interfere. Albano Rivas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berto Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Berto Diaz was the one to do the kick off. Rayo Noguerosa's Albano Rivas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amaro Gene in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berto Diaz in the 60th minute of play forced Rayo Noguerosa's goalkeeper Albano Rivas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rayo Noguerosa's Albano Rivas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berto Diaz in the 64th minute of play. Prudencio Roig kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Gentza Colsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rexino Quintana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gentza Colsa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Veremundo Morado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albano Rivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berto Diaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Rayo Noguerosa's goal looked a bit too open when Berto Diaz came free, but Albano Rivas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albano Rivas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomé Cuevas in the 91st minute of play. Albano Rivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berto Diaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Garganta De Los Montes UD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
