Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Evaristo Verdaguer made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Anastasio Vadillos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godfredo Segarra, 3 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dario Ruiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Verdaguer in the 7th minute of the match. Cidro Zubizarreta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zurgena's goalkeeper Hermenegildo Baños, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the game, Efren Vuelta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zurgena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escornalbou the free kick. Godfredo Segarra, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Anastasio Vadillos charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anastasio Vadillos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Escornalbou booed when Zurgena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Vadillos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Evaristo Verdaguer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zurgena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Verdaguer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cidro Zubizarreta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Evaristo Verdaguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Ruiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Toni Villar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermenegildo Baños was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Cidro Zubizarreta struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Dario Ruiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zurgena. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eladio Ledo got free with Hermenegildo Baños in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toni Villar to make the kick off. Toni Villar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 56 minutes into the game, Munio Rallo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zurgena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escornalbou the free kick. After 57 played minutes Zurgena got a freekick which was hit by Munio Rallo. Eladio Ledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hermenegildo Baños tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eladio Ledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Munio Rallo came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Zurgena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Munio Rallo couldn't finish the play. Anastasio Vadillos got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. If Toni Villar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86thth minute of the game Eladio Ledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zurgena's Hermenegildo Baños was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eladio Ledo in the 89th minute of play forced Zurgena's goalkeeper Hermenegildo Baños to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eladio Ledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermenegildo Baños having to interfere. The Zurgena supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zurgena would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
